How to Install Decorative Glass on Wall Surfaces?
![]()
As a professional glass factory, we have long been engaged in the customization and on-site installation of decorative glass and art glass for residential and commercial decoration projects. We are well aware of the key points of wall glass installation. Improper construction often leads to common problems such as loose fixation, cracking, falling off and uneven reflection of glass. From a professional manufacturer’s perspective, this article popularizes standardized wall installation procedures and specifications, which are applicable to various household and commercial wall decoration scenarios.
1. Wall Base Pre-treatment (Fundamental Step)
A qualified wall base is the core prerequisite for firm installation of decorative glass. First, ensure the wall surface is flat, dry, hollow-free and dust-free. Remove raised impurities and repair cracks and pits on the wall, with the verticality error controlled within 2mm. Ventilate and dry damp walls in advance to prevent mildew on glass glue and glass falling off caused by internal moisture accumulation. Before delivery, our glass factory conducts edge grinding, explosion-proof and tempering pretreatment on art glass to avoid hand scratches during installation and spontaneous breakage in later use. Check the size and pattern of the glass after arrival to prevent installation defects caused by dimensional deviation.
